    Job Description

    \n

    1. Compliance Testing & Review Execution

    \n
  • Perform end‑to‑end compliance testing reviews as per the annual Compliance Testing Plan.
  • \n
  • Develop detailed test plans, sampling criteria, and testing scripts for each review.
  • \n
  • Conduct walkthroughs of processes to understand regulatory requirements, controls, and risks.
  • \n
  • Test the design and operating effectiveness of compliance controls across business functions.
  • \n
  • Document test results, observations, evidence, and deviations in a structured manner.
  • \n



    \n 2. Reporting & Issue Management

    \n
  • Draft high‑quality testing reports summarizing observations, risks, and non‑compliances.
  • \n
  • Work with business teams to obtain management responses and agreed action plans.
  • \n
  • Track implementation of corrective actions and validate closure of compliance issues.
  • \n
  • Escalate high‑risk findings to senior compliance management as needed.
  • \n



    \n 3. Regulatory & Policy Compliance

    \n
  • Evaluate business and operational processes for adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and industry standards.
  • \n
  • Support thematic reviews triggered by new regulations, emerging risks, or compliance incidents.
  • \n
  • Assist in identifying regulatory gaps and recommending remediation measures.
  • \n



    \n 4. Risk Assessment & Control Evaluation

    \n
  • Assist in updating the compliance risk assessment by analyzing testing results and new emerging risks.
  • \n
  • Identify weak controls, recurring issues, and potential systemic failures.
  • \n
  • Provide inputs to strengthen the compliance controls library.
  • \n



    \n 5. Data & Documentation Management

    \n
  • Maintain complete testing documentation, evidence, working papers, and trackers for audits and inspections.
  • \n
  • Support automation of testing workflows and usage of compliance tools and systems.
  • \n



    \n 6. Stakeholder Collaboration

    \n
  • Coordinate with operations, business, legal, audit, and risk teams to gather process knowledge and testing data.
  • \n
  • Communicate testing schedules, expectations, and evidence requirements clearly.
  • \n
  • Participate in meetings and discussions relating to compliance remediation.
  • \n

    \n

    The Successful Applicant

    \n

    \n

    A successful VP - Compliance Testing & Regulatory Compliance should have:

    \n
  • A strong academic background in finance, law, or a related field.
  • \n
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Banks or NBFC's
  • \n
  • Proven expertise in compliance testing and Regulatory compliance
  • \n
  • Ability to interpret and implement regulatory changes effectively.
  • \n
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
