Role: Director of Engineering
\nLocation : On-Site Hyderabad
\nAbout the Role
\nWe are seeking an experienced Director of Engineering to lead our growing engineering
\norganization. This role is ideal for a technology leader who has architected and scaled complex
\nsystems in high-growth SaaS environments, and who thrives at the intersection of technology,
\npeople, and business impact.
\nThe Director of Engineering will drive system architecture decisions, shape engineering culture,
\nand mentor and grow high-performing teams while staying hands-on enough to make sound
\ntechnical judgments.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n• Technology Leadership: Define and drive the technical vision and strategy, particularly in
\nbuilding scalable, distributed, and high-performance systems.
\n• System Architecture: Lead design discussions and architectural reviews, ensuring systems
\nare robust, secure, and capable of supporting rapid scale.
\n• People Leadership: Manage and grow a team of engineers, including senior/principal
\nengineers; foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and engineering excellence.
\n• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, data, and AI/ML teams to align
\ntechnical execution with business priorities.
\n• Execution & Delivery: Ensure timely, high-quality delivery of critical projects, balancing long-
\nterm architecture with short-term business needs.
\n• Mentorship: Coach and develop engineering managers and senior engineers, building
\nleadership capacity within the team.
\n• Innovation: Stay current with advances in cloud, SaaS, AI/ML, and distributed systems;
\nchampion adoption of modern technologies and practices where relevant.
\nRequirements
\n• 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with significant time spent in
\nSaaS product companies.
\n• 4+ years of experience in people management, leading teams of engineers and/or
\nengineering managers.
\n• Proven expertise in system design, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
\n• Strong track record of technology leadership, influencing architectural direction, and driving
\norganizational change.
\n• Hands-on ability to evaluate and guide technical choices across programming languages
\n(Python, Node.js, or similar) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
\n• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
\nPreferred Qualifications
\n• Prior experience in high-growth startups or rapidly scaling product organizations.
\n• Exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or agentic architectures.
\n• Contributions to open-source projects or published technical thought leadership.
