Role Overview

\n

The candidate will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing reinforcement works and bar bending schedules across project sites . The role involves coordinating with structural drawings, preparing and verifying BBS, monitoring steel consumption, and ensuring timely execution of reinforcement works in accordance with project schedules and quality standards.

\n

The candidate will work closely with tower execution teams, planning teams, and formwork teams to ensure efficient reinforcement installation and optimal steel utilization .

Reinforcement Planning

  Plan and manage reinforcement activities for high-rise construction projects .

\n
• \n

  Review structural drawings and prepare Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) for various structural elements including slabs, beams, columns, shear walls, and foundations.

\n
• \n

  Ensure reinforcement planning aligns with construction schedules and formwork cycles .

\n
\n

Execution Management

\n
\n
• \n

  Oversee cutting, bending, and placement of reinforcement bars at site.

\n
• \n

  Ensure reinforcement works are executed as per structural drawings, BBS, and project specifications .

\n
• \n

  Coordinate reinforcement activities with formwork and concreting operations .

\n
\n

Steel Consumption Monitoring

\n
\n
• \n

  Monitor steel consumption and wastage levels across project sites.

\n
• \n

  Ensure efficient use of reinforcement materials and minimize wastage.

\n
• \n

  Maintain records for steel reconciliation and material tracking .

\n
\n

Coordination with Site Teams

\n
\n
• \n

  Coordinate with Tower Incharges, Civil Engineers, and Formwork Teams to ensure proper sequencing of reinforcement works.

\n
• \n

  Provide technical guidance to site engineers and supervisors regarding reinforcement detailing and placement .

\n
• \n

  Resolve technical issues related to reinforcement congestion, detailing conflicts, and site constraints .

\n
\n

Quality & Compliance

\n
• \n

  Ensure reinforcement installation complies with structural drawings, codes, and quality standards .

\n
• \n

  Conduct inspections to verify bar spacing, lap lengths, anchorage, and cover requirements .

\n
• \n

  Ensure reinforcement works pass quality checks prior to concreting .

\n
\n

Vendor & Yard Management

\n
\n
• \n

  Coordinate with rebar suppliers and bar bending yard teams for cutting and bending operations.

\n
• \n

  Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of reinforcement materials .

\n
• \n

  Monitor performance of rebar subcontractors and fabrication teams .

\n
\n

Documentation & Reporting

\n
\n
• \n

  Maintain records of BBS, steel consumption reports, and reinforcement progress .

\n
• \n

  Prepare steel reconciliation statements and progress reports .

\n
• \n

  Coordinate with billing and planning teams for steel quantity tracking and reporting .

Technical Skills Required

  Strong expertise in reinforcement detailing and Bar Bending Schedule preparation

• \n

  Ability to interpret structural drawings and reinforcement detailing

\n
• \n

  Knowledge of IS codes and structural reinforcement standards

  Experience in steel quantity estimation and reconciliation

\n
• \n

  Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and BBS preparation tools
