Position: Senior SAP S/4HANA Controlling (CO) Specialist
\n Job Description
\n The Senior SAP S/4HANA Controlling Specialist will lead financial controlling transformation initiatives, driving the successful migration to SAP S/4HANA and optimizing controlling processes within the organization. This role requires extensive experience in SAP Controlling (CO) modules, with a deep understanding of S/4HANA migration strategies, financial performance management, and cost controlling best practices.
\n With 15+ years of experience in SAP Controlling and proven expertise in S/4HANA migrations, the Senior CO Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and sustain high-quality controlling solutions that align with organizational objectives. This role includes strategic advising, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and optimizing financial processes through S/4HANA s capabilities.
\n Key Responsibilities
\n S/4HANA Migration Leadership
\n o Lead and oversee the migration of SAP Controlling (CO) modules to S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with business requirements and operational continuity.
\n o Develop and implement comprehensive migration strategies, including data migration, system configuration, and integration with other SAP modules.
\n o Coordinate and execute testing phases (unit, integration, UAT) to validate system accuracy and performance post-migration.
\n Controlling Process Optimization
\n o Analyze existing controlling processes and identify opportunities to leverage S/4HANA functionalities for cost controlling, profitability analysis (CO-PA), cost center accounting, and internal orders.
\n o Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize financial reporting, planning, and budgeting processes through S/4HANA CO enhancements.
\n Stakeholder Collaboration and Reporting
\n o Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for controlling transformation, ensuring alignment on objectives and managing expectations.
\n o Prepare and present detailed reports on project status, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive management and finance teams.
\n Compliance and Risk Management
\n o Ensure that all configurations and processes within S/4HANA CO comply with financial regulations, organizational policies, and audit standards.
\n o Develop and implement risk management strategies to address potential issues in data integrity, financial reporting, and compliance during the migration process.
\n Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing
\n o Drive continuous improvement in controlling processes by utilizing insights gained from S/4HANA capabilities and CO module optimizations.
\n o Mentor and train finance and technical teams on S/4HANA CO best practices, enhancing the organization s ability to leverage SAP for financial controlling.
\n Primary Skills and Qualifications
\n Experience:
\n o 15+ years of experience in SAP Controlling (CO), with at least 5 years in leadership roles and recent experience in S/4HANA migrations for controlling functions.
\n S/4HANA Controlling Expertise:
\n o In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA CO functionalities, including cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).
\n o Strong experience with S/4HANA migration, including data migration, configuration, system integration, and compliance with organizational requirements.
\n Strategic Vision and Alignment:
\n o Ability to align S/4HANA Controlling initiatives with broader financial strategy and organizational goals.
\n Project Management Proficiency:
\n o Expertise in managing complex SAP migration projects, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
\n Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge:
\n o Strong understanding of financial compliance and risk management within the SAP CO framework, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
\n Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
\n o Highly analytical with strong problem-solving abilities to assess complex controlling requirements and design effective SAP solutions.
\n Stakeholder Communication:
\n o Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical controlling requirements into actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical audiences
