Job Summary:

\n

\n

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Data Modeler with a strong background in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, data modeling best practices (Star/Snowflake schema), and advanced SQL scripting. You will be responsible for designing robust, scalable data models and working closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n

1. Data Modeling:

\n

\n

Design Conceptual, Logical, and Physical Data Models.

\n

\n

Create and maintain Star and Snowflake Schemas for analytical reporting.

\n

\n

Perform Normalization and Denormalization based on performance and reporting requirements.

\n

\n

Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into optimized data structures.

\n

\n

Maintain data model documentation and data dictionary.

\n

\n

\n

2. Snowflake Expertise:

\n

\n

Design and implement Snowflake schemas with optimal partitioning and clustering strategies.

\n

\n

Perform performance tuning for complex queries and storage optimization.

\n

\n

Implement Time Travel, Streams, and Tasks for data recovery and pipeline automation.

\n

\n

Manage and secure data using Secure Views and Materialized Views.

\n

\n

Optimize usage of Virtual Warehouses and storage costs.

\n

\n

\n

3. SQL & Scripting:

\n

\n

Write and maintain Advanced SQL queries including:

\n

\n

Common Table Expressions (CTEs)

\n

\n

Window Functions

\n

\n

Recursive queries

\n

\n

\n

Build automation scripts for data loading, transformation, and validation.

\n

\n

Troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries for performance and accuracy.

\n

\n

Support data migration and integration projects.

\n

\n

\n

\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n

\n

6+ years of experience in Data Modeling and Data Warehouse design.

\n

\n

Proven experience with Snowflake platform (min. 2 years).

\n

\n

Strong hands-on experience in Dimensional Modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).

\n

\n

Expert in SQL and scripting for automation and performance optimization.

\n

\n

Familiarity with tools like Erwin, PowerDesigner, or similar data modeling tools.

\n

\n

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

\n

\n

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

\n

\n

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

\n

\n

\n

\n

Experience with ETL/ELT tools like dbt, Informatica, Talend, etc.

Exposure to Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
