First Credit Services- Compliance Manager
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
\nRegulatory Oversight:
\no Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure full compliance with FDCPA, CFPB guidelines, TCPA, GLBA, UDAAP, and state-level debt collection laws.
\no Support the implementation and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
\nAudit & Monitoring:
\no Conduct internal audits, account activity, and communication logs.
\no Manage and prepare for external audits by clients or regulators.
\nComplaint Management:
\no Investigate, document, and respond to consumer complaints from any channel (direct, CFPB, BBB, etc.).
\no Analyze complaint trends and propose corrective actions.
\nTraining & Awareness:
\no Develop and deliver compliance training modules for new hires and ongoing employee certification.
\no Collaborate with department leads to ensure consistent compliance culture.
\nRisk Assessment:
\no Identify areas of potential compliance risk and escalate concerns with recommended mitigation strategies.
\no Stay informed about regulatory changes and updates and communicate impacts to leadership.
\nVendor & Data Privacy Oversight:
\no Ensure third-party vendors handling consumer data adhere to company security and privacy protocols.
\nRequired Qualifications
\nBachelor's degree
\n3–5 years of experience in a compliance or risk management role within a debt collection.
\nDeep knowledge of FDCPA, CFPB, TCPA, and UDAAP regulations.
\nStrong analytical and investigative skills.
\nExcellent written and verbal communication abilities.
\nAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
