US Mortgage Underwriting Trainer

Job Summary:

The Mortgage Underwriting Trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering training programs focused on US mortgage underwriting, with strong expertise in the 4 C s Capacity, Credit, Collateral, and Capital . This role ensures underwriters are equipped to evaluate loan applications accurately while adhering to US regulatory guidelines.

• Develop and update training materials on US mortgage underwriting practices and regulations.

• Conduct classroom and virtual training sessions for new hires and existing underwriters.
\n
• Customize training content based on business needs and regulatory updates.
\n
• Evaluate trainee performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
\n
• Ensure compliance with Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA underwriting guidelines.
\n
• Stay updated with US mortgage regulatory changes and industry trends.
\n
• Collaborate with underwriting teams, QA, and HR to identify training gaps.
\n
• Maintain training documentation and submit performance reports to management.
\n

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting.
\n
• At least 2 years in a training, mentoring, or coaching role.
\n
• Strong knowledge of US mortgage regulations and underwriting standards.
\n
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
\n
• Proficiency in LMS and virtual training tools.
\n
• Highly organized, adaptable, and detail-oriented.
