Principal UX Research
Job Description
Job description - Specific accountabilities:
\n UX Strategy
\n - Work with Product Management, customers to develop a product vision.
\n - Contributes to define the User Experience Strategy of a product or service by understanding business context, product strategy, customer values and brand vision.
\n - Influence, via UX, the scope and direction or a product or service to generate value and impact on the market.
\n - Foster innovation by initiating brainstorming sessions, putting in place processes and methodologies around innovation, and by working with transversal innovation teams.
\n Plan UX Research
\n - Analyze and refine product / project stakeholders UX related requests and needs
\n - Set up research objectives (with PM) & help PM defining project approach and user experience strategy
\n - Define the UX research scope & applicable methods
\n - Involve the project/product team (PM, UX Designers, DEV) by organizing UX Research kick-off and follow-up meetings
\n - Identify the target users to define the participants to involve in the research
\n - Lead the recruitment process
\n - Define the number of participants to involve
\n - Contact users or outsource the recruitment
\n - Ensure participants' profile is relevant for the research
\n - Schedule the sessions
\n - Communicate and check participants agreements with legal aspects of the research (NDA, audio and video recording, etc.)
\n Conduct Informative UX Research
\n Plan, build, conduct, analyse:
\n - Contextual and individual interviews
\n - Focus groups
\n - Field research: shadowing, observation, task analysis, etc.
\n - Exploratory surveys
\n - Analytics analysis
\n Based on research findings:
\n - Generate personas
\n - Generate experience charts (blue tabs) (empathy charts (blue tabs), customer journey, a day in a life of, etc.) with target users and internal stakeholders
\n Generate and Evaluate User Experience
\n - Facilitate ideation design sessions with project/product teams to inject UX research findings in the design process (storyboarding, design studio, design charette, etc.)
\n - Work with UX designers to suggest directions for the UI design based on research findings (information architecture, user interaction model & workflows, design consistency, etc.)
\n Plan, build, conduct, analyse user feedback sessions to evaluate the user experience through iterations all along the development cycle thanks to:
\n - participatory design
\n - card sorting
\n - mock-up walkthroughs
\n - protype user testing
\n - qualitative and quantitative A/B testing
\n - usability testing & productivity testing on live products
