Job Overview

• Own the precision motion control and machine control architecture for AOI systems inspecting & measuring high-density miniature connectors / complex assemblies of cables and connectors.
\n • Design and integrate custom engineered motion systems synchronized with vision inspection.
\n • Deliver high accuracy robotics and precision automation solutions.
\n • Balance throughput, accuracy, and long-term reliability.
\n • Act as the authority on motion systems for automated inspection & measurement.

Key Responsibilities:

Precision Motion Systems Architecture

\n • Architect motion systems including:
\n o Linear stages, rotary stages, multi-axis stages
\n o Gantry systems, hexapods
\n • Design precision motion control solutions using stages and actuators.
\n • Support inspection platforms requiring micron-level repeatability.

Motion Control, Drives & Feedback

\n • Select and integrate motion drives, servo systems, and controllers.
\n • Implement linear encoders and rotary encoders for closed-loop accuracy.
\n • Perform motion simulation and trajectory optimization.
\n • Tune servo systems for high-speed and high-accuracy inspection.

Robotics & Precision Automation

\n • Integrate high accuracy robotics where required.
\n • Develop machine control logic for synchronized motion and inspection.
\n • Support automated inspection motion engineering.

Mechanical Stability & System Integration

\n • Address vibration, thermal effects, and alignment sensitivity.
\n • Synchronize motion with vision and inspection triggers.
\n • Support calibration, compensation, and requalification.

Production & Lifecycle Support

\n • Commission and validate motion systems in production.
\n • Support reliability, uptime, and serviceability.
\n • Enable scalable motion architectures across product variants.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
\n • 8 to 10 years experience as a Motion Control Engineer, Robotics Engineer, or Precision Motion Specialist.
\n • Strong expertise in precision motion control, servo systems, and machine control.
\n • Experience with stages, actuators, and multi-axis motion platforms.
\n • Proven delivery of motion systems for automated inspection or precision automation.

Nice to Have

\n • Experience with 3D metrology systems or inspection equipment.
\n • Familiarity with gantry systems, hexapods, or custom motion platforms.
\n • Background in electronics or connector manufacturing environments.
