Job Description
IBM Datapower administrator position requires self-motivation and technical proficiency in the installation, configuration and administration of IBM Data Power with effective troubleshooting abilities. This position is focused on providing end to end support to the designated application technology stack to ensure maximum uptime for Production Systems. Overall responsible for availability, performance tuning and scalability of the infrastructure.
\nWe are looking for a IBM Datapower admin with 8-12 years experience. The candidate must demonstrate solid experience with system administration, change management, user management and software logistics to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the supported environment. The candidate should be able to provide SME level of support to 1st level Administrators within the team.
\nThe job includes working with the various technology teams, developers, vendors, and management of new landscape setup. The Engineer will be responsible for the administration, installation, configuration of Middleware products on standalone and clustered environment for multiple clients.
\nTechnical Expertise required:
\nMeets degree/educational requirements or has equivalent work experience for job code
\n8 to 12 years experience in IBM Datapower (EIP) & (IOP) v2018.4.1.11 administration.
\nAble to deal with complex issues involving customers and vendors
\nStrong skills in the administration of Java hosting platforms including but not limited to IBM Datapower
\nWell experienced in common Linux distributions (RHEL, Solaris, Centos, etc.)
\nPerform Installation, upgradation, migration of IBM Data power and middleware products
\nSupport standard software maintenance and application deployments to prod and non-prod environments by following project management office guidelines
\nDemonstrate ability to automate and maintain automation for core job functions
\nAdvanced skills in platform administration tasks including installation, patching, clustering, log-shipping, and tuning
\nAbility to work well within a team environment and participate in team projects
\nPerform related duties as required and provide off-hours support for IBM Datapower related issues
\nIdentify Root Cause and be able to apply preventive actions for environment specific Problems
\nAvailable for off-hour deployments and provide 24x7 on-call production support for mission and business critical applications

- A proven track record of over 8-12 years in the dynamic landscape of the IT industry, demonstrating adaptability and continual growth. \n
- Extensive expertise in enterprise integration, API management, and middleware technologies, driving seamless connectivity and interoperability. \n
- Demonstrated proficiency in the design, development, and maintenance of IBM DataPower Gateway X2/X3 appliances, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. \n
- Strong capabilities in implementing critical components such as Web Service Proxy, Multi-Protocol Gateway, and XML Firewall service, enhancing security and efficiency. \n
- Hands-on experience in AAA customization, ensuring robust authentication, authorization, and auditing policies tailored to specific requirements. \n
- In-depth familiarity with SSL Proxy configuration and certificate management, ensuring secure data transmission and compliance with industry standards. \n
- Extensive background in SOAP and/or REST-based Web services, prioritizing security protocols like SSL/TLS and WS-Security for data protection. \n
- Proven expertise in error handling and logging within the DataPower environment, enabling effective troubleshooting and performance optimization. \n
- Proficient in user management, domain configuration, access control, and backup procedures, ensuring smooth operations and data integrity. \n
- Sound understanding of SOA principles and key technologies including SOAP, REST, WSDL, XSD, XML, XSLT, XPATH, JSON, and Javascript, facilitating comprehensive solution development. \n
- Experience in configuring MQ queue managers within DataPower, facilitating efficient message queuing and management. \n
- Skilled in performing administrative tasks such as upgrades, reloads, and reboots on DataPower appliances, ensuring continuous operation and performance optimization. \n
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration within large teams and effective interaction with technical stakeholders. \n
- Basic proficiency in Unix/Linux commands, providing foundational knowledge for system management and troubleshooting. \n
Qualifications:
\n- \n
- 8-12 years of experience as an IBM Datapower (EIP) & (IOP) v2018.4.1.11 administration. \n
- Strong knowledge of IBM DataPower Administrator, architecture, administration, and configuration. \n
- Proficiency in scripting languages for automation tasks. \n
- Familiarity with app/web servers (e.g., Websphere ,IBM HTTP Server) and portal server \n
- Familiarity with other IBM tools like BPM, ODM , Enterprise record, API Connect etc. \n
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. \n
- Strong communication and collaboration skills. \n

\nCapable of handling escalation independently
\nIBM certified administrator
\nIndustry certification in at least one of the cloud technologies
