Senior (OHS&E) Manager

Job Role: Senior OHS&E Manager

Location: Chennai

Experience: 6+ years

Education: Diploma in Safety Engineering/ B.E/B.Tech in Fire and Safety/ M.E/M.Tech in Industrial Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and improve OHS&E policies and management systems as per ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 standards.

• Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international HSE laws and regulations. Act as the key liaison with regulatory bodies, clients, and external auditors on HSE matters.
\n
• Lead and manage the HSE team, including officers, coordinators, and site safety personnel.
\n
• Provide mentoring, training, and performance evaluations for the HSE team to build capability.
\n
• Oversee hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRAC, JSA), and implementation of control measures.
\n
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions. Develop and deliver safety training programs and promote a proactive safety culture.
\n
• Conduct site inspections, audits, compliance checks, and prepare detailed HSE performance reports with KPIs. Support projects in pre-construction planning, design reviews, contractor vetting, and ensure HSE integration throughout the project lifecycle.
