Job Title: Lead Developer - Power BI and SQL

Experience: 5-10 years

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Lead Developer specializing in Power BI and SQL to spearhead our business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, design robust data models, create insightful dashboards, and optimize database solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Lead and mentor a team of Power BI and SQL developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Provide guidance on best practices in data visualization, ETL processes, and SQL optimization.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize tasks effectively.

Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that meet business needs.

Implement row-level security (RLS) and other access controls within Power BI to ensure data security.

Create reusable templates and standards for Power BI reporting to streamline development efforts.

Integrate Power BI with other tools and platforms, such as Excel, SharePoint, and third-party APIs.

Timely delivery of live database projects and Advanced power BI skills

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting and data analysis.

Design and implement efficient database structures, including tables, views, and indexes,stored procedures,triggers.

Perform database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Ensure data integrity and consistency across all systems and processes.

To create and perform on SQL servers, handle large volumes of data.

Design and implement robust ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.

Collaborate with data engineers to integrate multiple data sources into a unified reporting platform.

Ensure high data quality through validation, cleansing, and transformation processes.

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics requirements.

Present insights and recommendations derived from dashboards and analytics to senior management.

Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption of Power BI solutions.

Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

Strong expertise in SQL programming and database design principles.

Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.

Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, or Azure Data Factory).

Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.

Experience with cloud-based platforms like Azure or AWS is a plus.

Experience with big data technologies

Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies for project management.

Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for data manipulation.

Certifications in Power BI, SQL Server, or cloud technologies (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst).

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in Power BI, SQL, or database management are highly desirable.
