Accountant & Controls Lead (Finance Governance & Compliance)
\nRole Summary
\nThe role is responsible for driving end-to-end finance governance, compliance, internal controls, and T&E operations for the Hub. It involves policy ownership, audit coordination, SEZ and MCA compliance management, and stakeholder engagement , ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency.
\nKey Responsibility Areas (KRAs)
\n1. Full & Final Settlement (F&F Governance)
\n- Issue No Objection Certificates (NOC) for exiting employees on behalf of Finance \n
- Review and validate financial recoveries (if any) prior to clearance \n
- Ensure timely and compliant exit clearance process \n
- Govern T&E mailbox operations and resolve queries/exceptions \n
- Review and approve T&E exception cases in line with policy \n
- Prepare monthly T&E dashboards with spend analytics \n
- Partner with business leaders to drive cost discipline and visibility \n
- Own and maintain HUB finance policies (ICM & T&E) \n
- Drive policy updates and change management based on business/regulatory changes \n
- Conduct onboarding and periodic training sessions for new joiners and stakeholders \n
- Ensure consistent policy awareness and adherence \n
- Own and update annual compliance checklist aligned to latest regulatory requirements \n
- Manage annual renewal of third-party compliance engagements (, consultants, advisors) \n
- Lead SEZ compliance end-to-end , including liaison with SEZ authorities \n
- Handle SEZ regulatory activities , including: \n
- LOA Renewals / Expansion / Surrender \n
- UAC meetings coordination \n
- BLUT, RCMC, NSDL approvals \n
- DSPF endorsements and follow-ups \n
- Manage MCA filings and statutory forms (Form 11, Form 8, BEN forms, FiLLiP, DIR-3, etc.) \n
- Support and document Board Resolutions \n
- Ensure statutory records and documentation compliance \n
- Coordinate internal and external audits with stakeholders \n
- Ensure audit readiness , documentation, and timely closure of observations \n
- Track and drive closure of open audit issues and remediation plans \n
- Manage control testing program , including: \n
- Scheduling and execution \n
- Documentation review \n
- Reporting results \n
- Mitigation planning for control failures \n
- Drive internal controls framework (ICFR / SOX aligned where applicable) \n
- Monitor control effectiveness and compliance adherence \n
- Identify and mitigate process and compliance risks \n
- Strengthen governance mechanisms across finance operations \n
- Lead SEZ governance calls with compliance partners and tax team \n
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Legal, Tax, Business, Auditors) \n
- Provide regular governance updates and insights to leadership \n
- Perform and review insurance reconciliations \n
- Manage premium accounting, clearing, and recovery tracking \n
- Ensure proper accounting treatment and reconciliation discipline Qualifications \n
- Strong knowledge of compliance, audits, SEZ regulations, MCA filings \n
- Expertise in internal controls, governance, and policy management \n
- Hands-on experience in T&E operations and P2P controls \n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills \n
- High attention to detail, documentation, and audit readiness \n
- Zero high-risk audit observations / repeat findings \n
- 100% timely compliance filings and renewals \n
