JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a talented Optical DWDM/OTN Testing Engineer with expertise in Python automation to join our team. As part of our cutting-edge technology division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our optical communication systems through automated testing methodologies.

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

Design, develop, and implement automated test scripts using Python for Optical DWDM/OTN systems, with a strong emphasis on ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching.

\n

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, requirements, and test plans, incorporating ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching considerations.

\n

Configure and operate testing equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and traffic generators, focusing on lambda-level granularity.

\n

Perform comprehensive testing of DWDM/OTN systems, including signal quality analysis, BER testing, and protocol compliance verification at the ODU/OTU or lambda level.

\n

Analyze test results, identify issues, and work closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve them, with specific attention to lambda-level switching functionality.

\n

Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and scripts, incorporating ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching capabilities.

\n

Document test procedures, results, and any relevant findings, with detailed insights into lambda-level switching performance.

\n

Requirements:

\n

Engineering Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.

\n

Extensive experience in Optical DWDM/OTN testing, with in-depth knowledge of ODU/OTU or lambda-level switching concepts.

\n

Proficiency in Python programming language for test automation, with a focus on developing scripts tailored to lambda-level testing scenarios.

\n

Hands-on experience with test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, power meters, and traffic generators, with a specific emphasis on lambda-level granularity.

\n

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing and resolving issues related to lambda-level switching functionality.

\n

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

\n

Prior experience with network testing, automation frameworks, or CI/CD pipelines is advantageous.
