Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Assist in processing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accurate calculations of wages, deductions, bonuses, and other compensations.
  • \n
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records in the system, ensuring all employee information, tax withholdings, and benefits are correctly captured.
  • \n
  • Compliance: Ensure payroll is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax laws, labor laws, and other applicable legal requirements.
  • \n
  • Reporting: Generate payroll reports as needed for management and auditors, including summaries of wages, taxes, benefits, and deductions.
  • \n
  • Benefits Administration: Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including deductions for health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • \n
  • Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, addressing employee inquiries and concerns related to pay or deductions in a timely manner.
  • \n
  • Tax Filing: Assist in the preparation and submission of payroll tax filings, including quarterly and annual reports, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • \n
  • System Maintenance: Maintain the integrity and security of payroll software systems, assist in software upgrades, and ensure all systems are functioning effectively.

  • Employee Support: Provide payroll-related support to employees, answering questions regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and tax forms.
  • \n
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in improving payroll processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, and recommend best practices for future payroll operations.
