Job Description – Legal Manager
Key Responsibilities
· Draft, review, negotiate, and vet commercial agreements, vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, lease agreements, and other legal documents.
· Provide legal advice to business teams on commercial, contractual, and operational matters.
· Manage litigation matters and coordinate with external advocates, consultants, and legal advisors.
· Handle notices, legal correspondence, disputes, arbitration matters, and recovery-related cases.
· Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
· Support management in risk assessment and mitigation from a legal perspective.
· Maintain legal records, contracts repository, and case trackers.
· Assist in property-related documentation, registrations, and due diligence activities.
· Review and strengthen internal policies, processes, and legal controls.
· Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, HR, Finance, Procurement, and Operations.
Qualifications & Experience
· LLB from a recognized university; LLM preferred.
· 6–7 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal functions.
· Experience in manufacturing, building materials, FMCG, infrastructure, or related industries preferred.
· Strong understanding of contract law, commercial law, labor law, and dispute management.
· Experience in handling litigation and coordinating with external counsel.
