SAP - Tax/ Tax Knowledge

• In this role you will play a key part in managing the global tax E2E Testing & Validation part. Take responsibility for identifying test scope for each change. Also plan, track, manage and report status of the project deliverables, and ensure the testing process is defined and adhered to.
• You should handle the tax area testing and coordinate with the automation team where possible to automate the process for easy validations and work with a team to plan E2E testing delievrables.
• Test management tool JIRA needs to maintain all the testing artifacts. You will be responsible for coordinating different stakeholders, conducting daily status meetings, follow up on open issues with different stakeholders and make sure defined processes followed throughout testing phases

• Define and develop comprehensive test plans for Tax modules based on project requirements.
• Mentor team members in creating effective test scripts.
• Plan, track, manage, and report testing deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
• Execute end-to-end testing across all phases, including:
  • Unit Testing
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • Regression Testing
• Ensure testing processes are defined, followed, and continuously improved.

Automation & Defect Management

• Collaborate with Test Automation Engineers to convert key manual test cases into automated tests.
• Track, document, and manage defects using JIRA, XRAY, and other test management tools.
• Participate in defect triage meetings and coordinate issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Maintain all testing artifacts in JIRA throughout the testing lifecycle.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including:
  • Tax
  • Finance
  • Tax Accounting
  • Functional Teams
  • Automation Teams
• Conduct daily status meetings and provide regular testing progress updates.
• Follow up on open issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure adherence to testing processes across all project phases.

Tax Domain & Reporting

• Understand global tax reporting requirements for:
  • Direct Taxes
  • Indirect Taxes
• Convert business and regulatory requirements into detailed test scenarios.
• Validate tax data reporting solutions across systems and tools.
• Respond to ad hoc tax reporting validation requests and regulatory inquiries.
• Perform reconciliations, quality checks, and process controls to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Prepare working files for Direct and Indirect Tax returns.
• Assist teams with tax accounting issues and queries.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve tax accounting and reporting processes.
• Support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Contribute to process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience in Tax, Finance, or FinTech domains.
• Strong experience with SAP Tax Module.
• Hands-on experience in SAP FICO End-to-End Testing.
• Experience in End-to-End Testing methodologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall testing methodologies.
• Experience creating and executing test plans and test cases.
• Experience with defect lifecycle management.
• Proficiency in:

  • XRAY
  • Test Management Tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
