Big Data Architect

Job Responsibilities:

• Architecture, Design, Documentation and Execution – Provide guidance to the execution of the activities within the team and across the BUs being supported.
• The Architect is expected to be agile in thought, engineering and deployment, drive technology lifecycle – ideation, architecture, design, development, testing, PoCs / Pilots.
• The Architect will be a hands-on technical expert who would be able to assess and do a fitness for use analysis of the various solutions to a given business problem statement.
• Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for the solution, recommending potential options, selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap for the selected solution.
• Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
• Champions a structured approach to business application solutions
• Directly assists in the development of a solutions architecture program.
• Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions.

Education, Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Minimum of 10 – 12 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role
• Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs
• 5+ years of experience in architecting and designing large scale applications with a focus on ease of maintenance and ease to upgrade.
• 5+ years work experience as a Data Architect or similar role
• Must have experience in REST, OAuth, Docker, DevOps
• Must have experience in Big Data, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka
• Must have experience with Cloud Based Technology
• Web application development exp is a must
