Key Responsibilities

Structural calculation of handling, storage and transport tools for wind turbine using ANSYS Work bench.

• Perform contact modeling, static linear, modal, Harmonic analysis
• Perform analytical calculations of bolted/welded constructions.
• Perform high-cycle fatigue (HCF), low-cycle fatigue (LCF), creep, and fracture mechanics.
• Interact with product owners and other stake holders and develop/implement solutions.
• Strong experience in writing analysis reports and certification reports.
• Ensuring timely and high-quality deliveries to our development projects.

Work Experience

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Mechanical engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in ANSYS work bench and Ansys APDL
• Needs no mentoring/minimal mentoring for below FEA operations:
• Setting up model in Ansys APDL
• Extract mid surface in ANSYS space claim starting from NX iges file/part file of 3D CAD geometry.
• Create bonded and sliding contacts.
• Create simplified bolted joints.
• Apply loads and BCs as per given input document
• Able to debug and converge above complex FEA model which may have 1 million nodes, several contacts, joints. Able to handle
• Understands weld and bolt calculations in spread sheet taking inputs from ANSYS results files
• Able to give ideas/make necessary design changes in Space claim rapidly to meet design requirements.
• Aware of Fatigue, Strength requirements per EURO standards
• Able to author a report
• Scripting and MATLAB experience.
• Good communication and presentation skills
