Tech Lead

About the Role

The role involves leading and executing critical Trust & Safety testing efforts for Android and ChromeOS platforms. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical knowledge, hands-on automation skills, and deep expertise in privacy, security, and regulatory compliance across diverse user domains.

Responsibilities

• Test Team Leadership Guide and mentor test engineers; define and drive the overall test strategy.
• Hands-on Testing & Automation Perform both manual and automated testing on Android/ChromeOS devices. Develop test automation using Java/Python.
• Code Contributions Create and review code changes (CLs) using Git.
• Core Domain Testing Senior QA for Privacy & Security, Regulatory Resilience, and PWG across Consumer, Enterprise, and EDU.
• Cross-Domain Validation Test features across Consumer, Commercial, and Unicorn domains.
• Feature-Specific Testing Ensure thorough testing of DMA and core Chrome features.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in QA/Test Engineering, including 3+ years in a technical lead role.
• Strong experience in Android and ChromeOS device testing.
• Proficient in both manual and automated testing.
• Strong programming skills in Java and/or Python.
• Proven experience with Trust & Safety modules (privacy, security, compliance).
• Experience testing across multiple user domains (Consumer, Commercial, Unicorn).
• Experience with Trust & Safety modules, Git workflows, and dashboard creation
• Solid understanding of DMA and Chrome feature testing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Go or Python programming language.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
