Report to the SAM Process Owner from the client side to work in conjunction to adhere to the established Policy and Process at the organization. | |
Manage and optimize the use of the SAM tool within the organization. | |
Ensure accurate hardware and software inventory records are maintained within the SAM tool. | |
Coordinate with IT and procurement departments to ensure all new assets are correctly entered into the SAM tool. | |
Monitor software licenses and usage within the SAM tool to avoid under-utilization or non-compliance. | |
Generate reports using the SAM tool to provide insights on asset utilization, compliance, lifecycle, etc. | |
Train staff on the use of the SAM tool and promote its benefits across the organization. | |
Interact with vendors to resolve any discrepancies between internal records in the SAM tool and external records. | |
Monitor and analyse trends in company spending and inventory control to make recommendations for the future, and to identify areas for possible savings and/or asset optimization, using the SAM tool data. | |
Establish and lead a SAM governance forum, bringing together stakeholders from across the organization to discuss and align on SAM strategies, policies, and procedures. | |
Drive regular meetings of the SAM governance forum, ensuring relevant topics are on the agenda and action items are followed up. | |
Facilitate communication between the SAM governance forum and other parts of the organization, promoting transparency and understanding of SAM activities. | |
Use the SAM tool to provide data and insights to the SAM governance forum, supporting decision-making and strategy development. | |
Ensure that decisions and actions from the SAM governance forum are implemented effectively, and feedback is collected for continuous improvement. | |

· 6-12 years of Experience in managing license compliance and audits for Tier1 (Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, RedHat, SAP, Citrix, Adobe, VMWare) and Tier 2 publishers (CyberArk, Cisco, Microfocus, Broadcom, UiPath etc.) | |
· Proven knowledge of Software Asset Management, Procurement and Contract Management processes. | |
· Proven knowledge of licensing policies for Tier1 and Tier2 publishers | |
· Ability to interpret software contracts and proof of entitlements | |
· Understand software deployment and licensing models to prepare compliance reporting | |
· Experience in conducting internal audit and providing external audit support | |
· Ability to suggest remediation actions and cost saving opportunities for Tier1 and Tier2 publishers | |
