Sales Engineer — Instrumentation & Valve Automation Territory: Gandhidham / Bhuj / Kutch (incl. The Role This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Gandhidham or Bhuj, covering the wider Kutch region. You will own and grow sales across our Emerson and AUMA product lines — process instrumentation, control valves, actuators and pneumatics — by identifying and qualifying opportunities, delivering technical presentations and product demonstrations, understanding customer requirements, and recommending the right engineering solution. You will prepare quotations and commercial proposals, collaborate with our technical, operations and inside-sales teams to ensure feasible solutions, provide post-sales technical support, and maintain strong client relationships through regular follow-up — across the region's power, ports, chemical, cement, oil & gas and water-treatment industries. Product Portfolio You'll Represent Rosemount (Emerson) — pressure, temperature, level and flow transmitters; analytical and gas/flame detection instrumentation. Fisher (Emerson) — control valves, regulators, actuators and digital valve controllers. ASCO (Emerson) — solenoid and process valves (EMV) and safety shut-off valves. Aventics (Emerson) — pneumatic valves, cylinders and air-preparation systems. AUMA — electric valve actuators (multi-turn and part-turn / MOV), actuator controls and gearboxes. Key Responsibilities Identify and qualify sales opportunities; develop new business while growing existing accounts — end users, EPCs, consultants and OEMs — to achieve territory sales targets. Understand customer requirements and applications, and recommend the correct instrumentation, control valve, actuator or pneumatic solution. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospective and existing clients. Prepare quotations and commercial proposals (with inside-sales / HO support); negotiate and close orders. Respond promptly to customer enquiries and handle product-related customer-service issues. Collaborate with technical, operations and service teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and delivered smoothly. Coordinate with principals (Emerson, AUMA) for product sizing/selection, technical support and pricing. Provide post-sales technical support and maintain strong client relationships through regular follow-up. Follow up on order execution, delivery and payment with the internal team. Maintain the opportunity pipeline and sales forecasts in Zoho CRM; contribute market feedback and competitor intelligence. Required Qualifications & Experience Engineering degree or diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Communication or Electrical (or a related field), with an understanding of industrial equipment and processes. Minimum 3 years of technical / industrial sales experience — preferably in instrumentation, control valves, actuators, valve automation or process automation. Strong sales-engineering and technical-support ability — assessing client needs, proposing appropriate solutions and managing the full sales cycle. Understanding of process instrumentation (pressure / temperature / flow / level), control valves, electric (MOV) and solenoid (EMV) actuators and pneumatics — or a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn these product lines. Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders, in English, Gujarati and Hindi. Ability to work on-site in Gandhidham / Bhuj and travel to client locations across the territory as needed; valid driving licence (own vehicle preferred). Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to prepare technical proposals and reports. Strong customer-service orientation and long-term relationship-building skills. Preferred / Added Advantage Experience in valve automation, hydraulics, hydrogen gas systems, instrumentation or power/process industries. Familiarity with Emerson, AUMA or competing brands (e.g. Yokogawa, ABB, Honeywell, Siemens, Rotork, Flowserve). Existing relationships with end users, EPCs or consultants in the Kutch / Gandhidham industrial belt. Key Attributes Self-motivated, target-oriented and able to work independently in the field.
