Faculty Positions

The Department of Computer Science Engineering at the GITAM School of Computer Science and Engineering (GSCSE) invites applications from accomplished academicians and researchers for faculty positions at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor levels for the Bengaluru Campus .

We seek passionate educators and researchers who are committed to excellence in teaching, impactful research, innovation, and academic leadership.

Areas of Specialisation

Applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply:

• Theoretical Computer Science (Algorithms, Complexity, Graph Theory, Formal Methods)

• Systems and Architectures (Computer Networks, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Distributed Systems, Cloud Computing, Blockchain)

• Cyber Security and Cyber Physical Systems (Cyber Security, IoT, Sensor Networks, Edge Computing)

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be expected to:

\n
• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in their area of expertise.
\n
• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions using innovative teaching methodologies.
\n
• Mentor and advise students academically and professionally.
\n
• Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in Scopus-indexed/Web of Science journals.
\n
• Supervise postgraduate and doctoral research scholars.
\n
• Secure externally funded research projects and collaborate with industry and research organizations.
\n
• Participate in curriculum development, accreditation, academic governance, and institutional committees.
\n
• Contribute to interdisciplinary teaching and research initiatives.
\n
• Build collaborations with industry, government agencies, and research institutions.
\n
• Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, and outreach activities.
\n
• Continuously update teaching practices and research methodologies in line with global academic standards.
\n

Eligibility Criteria

Assistant Professor

\n
• PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a closely related discipline.
\n
• Strong academic record with demonstrated potential in teaching and research.
\n

Associate Professor

\n
• PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
\n
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/industry/research experience, including at least 3 years at the Assistant Professor level.
\n
• Minimum 2 years of experience after obtaining the PhD.
\n

Professor

\n
• PhD in Computer Science Engineering or a related discipline.
\n
• Minimum 15 years of teaching/industry/research experience, including at least 4 years at the Associate Professor level.
\n
• Proven academic leadership with a strong record of research, publications, funded projects, and doctoral supervision.
\n
