About The Job:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with extensive expertise in managing large-scale Oracle environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance optimization, high availability, upgrades, migrations, security, and disaster recovery in a 24x7 mission-critical production environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Database Administration
- Manage and support large-scale Oracle database environments (1000+ databases) in a 24x7 production environment.
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle databases.
- Perform database upgrades and migrations from Oracle 10g/11g/12c to Oracle 19c.
- Administer Oracle RAC, Exadata, and Grid Infrastructure environments.
High Availability & Disaster Recovery
- Implement and maintain High Availability (HA) solutions.

Configure and administer:
- Oracle Data Guard (Physical & Logical)
- Oracle GoldenGate Replication
- Ensure database availability and disaster recovery readiness.
Backup & Recovery
-
Perform backup and recovery using:
- RMAN
- User-managed backups
- Execute database cloning, refresh, and recovery activities.
- Validate backup and disaster recovery procedures.
Performance Tuning & Monitoring
- Monitor database health and performance.
- Perform SQL tuning and query optimization.

Analyze and resolve:
- Performance bottlenecks
- Locking issues
- Blocking sessions
- Resource utilization problems
- Optimize database performance for enterprise applications.
Database Maintenance
- Perform database patching and maintenance activities.
- Manage tablespace growth and storage allocation.
- Execute capacity planning and database housekeeping.
- Perform database refreshes for development and testing environments.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop Shell scripts for database automation.
- Automate routine DBA operational tasks.
- Improve operational efficiency through scripting.
Security & Compliance
- Manage database users, roles, and privileges.
- Ensure database security and compliance with organizational standards.
- Implement database security best practices.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Generate database performance and capacity reports.
- Forecast database growth and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with application and development teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Support ERP database environments, including Oracle EBS R12.
