- Responsible for Global & Domestic Sourcing and Procurement of Detail Parts and Raw materials.
- Responsible for floating RFQs, selection of the source of the supplier, make vs Buy analysis, ensuring on-time conversion of PRs into POs, tracking material delivery and payments to the vendors at the right time (Purchase to Pay (P2P)).
- Responsible for monitoring the expense towards each supplier and reducing the expenses by pursuing long term agreements with the suppliers.
- Develop working relationships with suppliers by performing preliminary research, meeting with representatives & verifying product availability.
- Develop, implement and drive the procurement strategies in order to meet business objectives and AOP targets.
- Performed Return to Vendor (RTV) and Returnable Gate pass (RGP) operation in cases of non-conformances.
- Manage various categories of procurement that includes the areas of Raw Material, Cutting tools, Direct Consumables and Chemicals.
- Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
- Collaborate with multiple cross functional teams for cost optimization, updating BOM, Approvals of SCN, release of PO's ensuring timely delivery.
- Source, negotiate and purchase domestic and overseas materials for production, Plan and arrange to purchase according to production schedule.
- Analyze procurement costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality, reliability and project timelines.
- Maintaining performance metrics by ensuring vendor delivery performance, vendor quality performance, on time delivery and inventory accuracy
