Job Description: Solution Architect – Data Analytics & Client Reporting**

ThoughtFocus is seeking a high-caliber Solution Architect who combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen and own the full lifecycle of data and analytics initiatives—from ambiguous business problems to architecture, estimation, execution, and delivery.

This role requires an execution-oriented architect who converts complex business problems into scalable data solutions, while clearly articulating trade-offs, platform choices, and architecture decisions to both technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders. The successful candidate brings strong delivery ownership, estimation rigor, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Problem Structuring & Solution Ownership

• Translate ambiguous business requirements into clear problem definitions, solution architectures, and executable roadmaps.
• Own outcomes from concept through design, development, and delivery.

Architecture & Platform Decisioning

• Extensive knowledge on 2 or more cloud data platforms like AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks etc. with proven ability to design end-to-end solutions
• Define and defend architecture decisions with explicit trade-offs on cost, scalability, performance, maintainability, and vendor lock-in.
• Build future-proof, extensible data platforms.

Estimation, Planning & Execution Rigor

• Break down solutions into deliverables, phases, and milestones with bottom-up estimates and documented assumptions.
• Identify and manage technical, operational, and stakeholder dependencies and risks.
• Create and govern realistic execution plans with clear tracking, reporting, and course-correction mechanisms.

Data Platform & Engineering Leadership

• Architect scalable data lakes, lakehouses, and warehouses with both batch and real-time pipelines.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to implementation teams.
• Ensure solutions are performant, cost-efficient, secure, and production-grade.
• Establish frameworks for Data governance, Data quality and lineage and

Security and access controls

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Client Reporting & Business Impact

• Design high-impact reporting ecosystems, including executive dashboards and self-service analytics.
• Align data outputs with business KPIs and decision-making requirements.
• Drive adoption, clarity, and stakeholder trust in data products.

Executive Communication & Influence

• Act as a trusted advisor for senior business leaders and bridge between business and engineering teams.
• Clearly articulate the solution, rationale, timeline, risks, and resource needs to senior stakeholders.
• Simplify complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical audiences.

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Structured, hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach (MECE thinking).
• Exceptional ability to simplify complexity and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on predictable, transparent delivery.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in Data Analytics / Data Engineering / BI roles.
• 6+ years in architecture, consulting, or delivery leadership.
• Proven track record of owning large-scale data initiatives end-to-end.
• Strong hands-on expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, Spark, SQL, and Python.
• Deep experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale distributed data systems.
• Demonstrated ability to provide realistic estimates, manage dependencies, and mitigate risks.
• Proven experience across cloud platforms like AWS, Azure Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks with the ability to select and defend the right platform.
• Experience leading enterprise data modernization or cloud transformation programs
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in client reporting or regulatory reporting domains
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines
• Certifications:
