Job Purpose: Stockyard Incharge oversee stockyard operations by ensuring efficient material handling, load planning, quality checks, repairs, and coordination with factory, logistics, and site teams. The role focuses on smooth dispatch, accurate documentation, and maintaining safety, quality, and operational efficiency within the stockyard.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/ Diploma - Civil/ Mechanical Engineering
Work Experience:
5-10 years of experience
Load Planning & Logistics Coordination:
Prepare trailer load charts and allocate materials as per current requirements. Coordinate with site, logistics, and planning teams for timely material dispatch. Ensure correct sequencing of items to optimize trailer space and facilitate site unloading.
Material Inspection & Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on requested items before dispatch. Oversee repairs of damaged items in coordination with the quality team. Verify the repaired material quality before final loading.
Stockyard & Production Coordination:
Align dispatch schedules with production outputs by coordinating with hall in-charges. Monitor stockyard inventory levels to ensure availability of required items. Track production vs. dispatch requirements to avoid delays.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of trailer load charts, dispatches, and logistics schedules. Prepare weekly and monthly stockyard and logistics reports. Support audit and compliance requirements through proper documentation.
Risk Management:
Identify risks related to material handling, loading/unloading, and transportation.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the stockyard. Take preventive measures to avoid accidents, material damage, or operational delays.
Process Improvement:
Drive continuous improvement in load planning and stockyard operations. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance of stockyard equipment. Track and manage material used in repairs to minimize wastage and costs.
Team Coordination & Supervision:
Supervise stockyard operators and helpers to ensure smooth execution of tasks. Train staff on quality, safety, and material handling best practices. Promote cross-functional coordination between stockyard, factory, and logistics teams.
