- Participate in the development and commercialization of new technologies and equipment strategically important to UOP.
- Participate in the idea generation and analysis associated with the development of design concepts by working with a multi-disciplined group of specialists to establish analytical "proof of principle" of innovative design applications.
- Provide CFD support for reactor and equipment optimization and scale-up.
- Involved in the analysis of process equipment damage, technical support, and resolution.
- Assess where fluid mechanic issues limit UOP's process technology and target efforts to break through these barriers.
- Provide leadership and develop innovative approaches and solutions for advancing UOP's knowledge in fluid mechanics and granular solids.
- Apply knowledge, experience, computer modeling capabilities, and strong problem solving skills to develop innovative and cost effective solutions in designing process related equipment.
- Represent UOP in customer and vendor meetings concerning technical matters.
- Continue to develop individual knowledge and experience and help mentor other analyst to share knowledge and promote awareness of the latest fluid mechanics and granular solids developments and changes.
- Enhance UOP's intellectual property portfolio through issuance of MOI's and patents.
- Presents papers at technical meetings and participates in national professional groups and technical organizations.
