Skills
- Installation, Configuration & Upgradation of NetApp cluster using FC and ISCSI protocols.
- Knowledge on Hitachi administration
- Cisco SAN switch administration
- Strong working knowledge on NetApp, Hitachi and Cisco switches administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience in DR and recovery solutions
- Good knowledge in administration, deduplication, and policies.
- Experience with storage management tools like Hitachi Ops Center, Hitachi Storage Navigator, NetApp oncommand manager, NetApp system manager.
- Capacity planning and performance analysis of Storage infrastructure.
- Understanding of storage architecture and hardware.
Responsibilities
- Experience in managing and configuring various file systems through network using NAS, SAN methodologies and installed RAID devices and identifying and analyzing technical issues and trouble shooting them.
- Experience in Firmware Upgrade and Zoning on Switches and Storage Technologies like iSCSI, FC, RAID and Storage Virtualization
- Expertise in allocating storage from NetApp Cluster mode NAS/SAN using NFS, CIFS,ISCSI and FCP.
- Hands on data compression and deduplication to compress the duplicate data objects.
- Expertise with Snapshots, SnapMirror, Snapvault and NetApp management tools like OCUM, Performance Manager.
- Problem solving, task prioritization, communication, and organization skills.
- Able to work in a deadline environment. Can work efficiently in a team and on individual tasks.
- Experience in working on Major Incidents and Problem Management.
- Establish Maintain and Mange delivery support team from the daily operations.
- Ensure the attainment and maintenance of excellent levels of client satisfaction with regards to operational and storage support.
- 24x7 on Call Support for Troubleshooting.
- Installation, Configuration, and Integration of NetApp Filers with the Windows and UNIX environment, experience with CIFS, NFS, and LUN management, Managing Quotas and Permissions, managing disks.
- Support for Disaster Recovery process
- Research and implement new technologies to improve the storage infrastructure
- Provide on-call support rotation for critical issues outside of normal business hours
- Facilitate knowledge sharing by creating and maintaining detailed and comprehensive documentation and diagrams
- Adherence to agreed SLA
- Understanding of ITIL V3
