YugabyteDB
India
Full Time
Reference: 102_715884_4688005006
Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, your mission is to accelerate Yugabyte's engineering velocity. You will own, scale, and evolve the core infrastructure powering our software development, automated testing, and release pipelines. Your work directly impacts how quickly and reliably our global engineering team can build and ship YugabyteDB and YugabyteDB Anywhere.
This isn't a passive infrastructure-maintenance role. You will collaborate closely with Core Engineering, SRE, Cloud, and Security teams to eliminate developer friction, optimize massive test suites, and build secure, resilient deployment platforms
Key Responsibilities
- Developer Platform Ownership: Own and optimize the end-to-end developer pipeline, covering source control, build systems, test orchestration, and artifact release.
- Scale CI/CD Infrastructure: Design, scale, and maintain our heavy-duty distributed CI/CD engines to support a rapidly growing engineering team.
- Test Orchestration & Performance: Build and refine internal tooling for massive test automation execution, observability, and flaky-test debuggability.
- Build Optimization: Profile and optimize compilation, linking, and test cycle times to keep developer feedback loops as short as possible.
- Kubernetes & Cloud Platforms: Build and manage cloud-native testing and deployment environments utilizing Docker and Kubernetes across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Maintain and scale our global infrastructure using strict IaC patterns (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Build/Platform Engineering, SRE, or a highly related infrastructure role.
- Production experience scaling CI platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Solid experience deploying, operating, and debugging Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
- Proven track record managing public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages.
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems concepts.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
