Roles & responsibilities

Base Expectations

  • Project Delivery

  • Experienced in demonstrating project management, client management, process improvement, leadership, communication, relationship building, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills

  • Demonstrating advanced understanding of Transfer Pricing principles and ability to guide the team to apply these on client projects with focus on quality and attention to detail

  • Experienced to handle multiple engagements within the practice assigned and therefore must have the ability to manage competing priorities

  • Demonstrating strong proficiency in effectively using and understanding applications and databases and work extensively with various technology tools

  • Experienced in the standardization of services leveraging technology, demonstrating continuous improvement of efficiencies

  • Experienced in handling large and diverse teams of approx. 15 people or more. Experience with Global Delivery centers is preferred.

  • Strong communicators, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to leadership and convey objectives to team members

  • Practice Management

  • Manage, support and participate in preparation of global transfer pricing compliance engagements on a global scale

  • Assist in managing engagement economics by organizing staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues and to project leaders

  • Display general knowledge of engagement "big picture"

  • Assist stakeholders to expand the current business offerings and identify additional opportunities to work with other KPMG practices

  • Build strong internal relationships within the global transfer pricing practice and across other KDN's GDCs

  • Contribute and motivate team members toward achievement of team goals. Help defining team structure (including remote teams outside India).

  • Help designing process optimization and opportunities for tech solutions.

  • Identify knowledge gaps and initiate strategies to fill them, keeping teams abreast of new service methodologies, tools and technologies and providing suggestions for their applications

  • Develop, mentor and supervise Analysts, Seniors, Assistant Managers and Managers

  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff

  • Help define learning gaps and work with sub-service line leaders and local L&D to define and deploy a process to bridge the learning gap

  • Foster collaboration and constructive communication within the team

  • Take ownership of the team's schedule, plan for it and proactively seek work when necessary to meet the utilization goals

  • Contribute to people initiatives, including recruiting, retaining and training transfer pricing professionals, setting strategy for how work is assigned and performed under the guidance of the reporting manager and the KDN solution owner

  • Maintain an educational program to develop personal skills on an ongoing basis, taking the initiative to seek continuous learning opportunities, coaching and mentoring feedback, key developmental experiences, self-directed learning and formal learning

  • Adhere to practice protocol and other internal processes consistently

This role is for you if you have the below

Educational qualifications

  • Master's degree in any stream / an advanced degree in economics, law, finance, tax or accounting; a CPA or similar certification

  • Additional Degree/ Diploma/Specialization in fields related to International Taxation, Financial Instruments Market, Specialization in Quantitative Finance will be an added advantage

Work experience

  • A minimum of ten years of transfer pricing or similar experience and an understanding of complex transfer pricing concepts

  • Excellent managerial, organizational, project management, analytical, and verbal/written communication capacity

  • Fluent in English
