JOB PURPOSE
This role is responsible for implementing sales strategies, managing distribution, and driving sales performance for both Modern and General Trade channels in the assigned region or trade format.
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/ Post Graduate in Agri or Masters in Agri Business Management.
Experience:
At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a sales role with a significant portion in B2B sales.
Industry Preferred:
Prior experience in Perishable goods industry or in the FMCG industry
Sales and Marketing Lead Senior - E1
Sales Execution:
- Implement sales targets and strategies as directed by the Sales Head for the assigned region or trade format.
- Manage the distribution of goods based on demand, ensuring timely and accurate fulfilment of orders.
- Drive sales performance for both Modern and General Trade, focusing on bulk and retail sales as applicable.
- Monitor and manage daily sales activities, ensuring alignment with overall sales objectives.
- Assess market demand and allocate bins according to orders, ensuring efficient distribution.
- Identify and execute revenue generation opportunities to maximize profitability within the assigned region or trade format.
Customer and Market Management:
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including retailers and distributors.
- Assess market demands and provide feedback to adjust sales strategies and inventory levels.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with customers, ensuring high-quality service and product satisfaction.
- Gather and analyze market trends along with the Sales Head to gauge customer preferences, product performance, and gather customer feedback to inform sales strategies and improve service offerings.
- Escalate any arising issues to the Sales Head and collaborate on resolutions, including addressing concerns from interactions with local farmers.
Coordination with Packaging and Production Teams:
- Collaborate with the packaging team to determine the quantity of goods to be packed and distributed.
- Work with the production and storage teams to ensure that goods are packed according to market feedback and demand.
Reporting and Feedback:
- Track and report on sales performance, including volume and revenue.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Sales Head based on market trends and customer feedback.
