Role Summary\n

We are hiring a Game VFX Artist – Unity for our Bengaluru office to create real-time visual effects for interactive arcade, sports, LED wall, projection, and large-screen games.

\n

The candidate should have hands-on experience creating and implementing VFX directly inside Unity. This role is focused on particles, shaders, hit effects, glow effects, scoring effects, transitions, UI feedback, and overall arcade-style game polish.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Create real-time VFX inside Unity for arcade and interactive games.
  • \n
  • Design and implement hit effects, score effects, combo effects, countdown effects, win/lose effects, target effects, and transition effects.
  • \n
  • Create particles, trails, bursts, glows, impact effects, energy effects, lighting effects, and animated feedback.
  • \n
  • Work with Unity developers to connect VFX to gameplay events, sensor inputs, ball hits, player actions, and scoring logic.
  • \n
  • Create reusable VFX prefabs and effect libraries for multiple games.
  • \n
  • Work on UI animations, HUD effects, scoreboard animations, and result screen effects.
  • \n
  • Optimize VFX for real-time performance on gaming PCs and large-format display systems.
  • \n
  • Ensure effects are visually clear from distance on LED walls, projection screens, and large displays.
  • \n
  • Maintain clean Unity project structure, asset naming, prefab organization, and version control discipline.
  • \n
  • Work with 2D/3D artists to convert game assets into polished real-time effects.
  • \n

Required Skills\n
    \n
  • Strong hands-on experience with Unity Engine .
  • \n
  • Good knowledge of Unity Particle System .
  • \n
  • Experience with Shader Graph and Unity materials.
  • \n
  • Understanding of real-time VFX implementation inside gameplay.
  • \n
  • Good sense of timing, animation, color, impact, readability, and arcade-style feedback.
  • \n
  • Ability to create optimized effects for real-time performance.
  • \n
  • Basic understanding of Unity UI, animation, prefabs, timelines, and post-processing.
  • \n
  • Ability to work with textures, sprites, sprite sheets, masks, trails, and simple 3D elements.
  • \n
  • Basic C# knowledge is a plus for connecting effects to gameplay events.
  • \n
  • Ability to work closely with Unity developers, game artists, and hardware/sensor teams.
  • \n

Good to Have\n
    \n
  • Experience with arcade games, mobile games, interactive installations, VR/AR, LED wall games, projection games, or sensor-based games.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of VFX Graph , Blender, Photoshop, After Effects, Spine, or Figma.
  • \n
  • Experience creating effects for sports games, kids games, party games, multiplayer games, or family entertainment center products.
  • \n
  • Understanding of optimization topics such as draw calls, batching, overdraw, texture size, memory usage, and frame-rate performance.
  • \n
  • Experience with large-screen readability and fast-action visual feedback.
  • \n

Unity, Particle System, Shader Graph, VFX Graph, Photoshop, Blender, After Effects, Figma, Spine, or equivalent tools

Portfolio Requirement\n

Candidates must share a portfolio or showreel with Unity-based VFX work.

The portfolio should preferably include:

Important: We are looking for candidates who have implemented effects inside Unity, not only created motion graphics videos in After Effects.

The ideal candidate should be able to make games look energetic, premium, responsive, and exciting during real gameplay. The person should understand that arcade and interactive games need instant visual feedback, strong impact effects, smooth transitions, and high visual clarity on large screens.
