\nPosition Summary
\nWe are looking for a highly qualified and experienced PGT English teacher to teach Senior Secondary classes and prepare students for CBSE Board Examinations and competitive academic pursuits. The candidate should possess excellent subject knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to mentor students in both academic and residential settings.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nAcademic Responsibilities
\n· Teach English Language and Literature to senior classes as per CBSE curriculum.
\n· Prepare annual lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, and learning resources.
\n· Deliver engaging, student-centric lessons using modern pedagogical practices.
\n· Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback and remedial support.
\n· Prepare students for Board Examinations, Olympiads, debates, literary competitions, and other academic events.
\n· Maintain accurate academic records and assessment data.
\nCo-Curricular Responsibilities
\n· Organize and mentor literary activities such as debates, declamations, creative writing, dramatics, public speaking, and reading programs.
\n· Contribute to school publications, newsletters, and literary clubs.
\n· Support inter-school competitions and cultural events.
\nBoarding School Responsibilities
\n· Participate actively in the boarding and pastoral care system.
\n· Mentor and guide boarders regarding academics, discipline, and personal development.
\n· Undertake residential duties as assigned by the school administration.
\nQualifications & Experience
\n· Master's Degree in English from a recognized university.
\n· B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
\n· Minimum 8-10 years of teaching experience in reputed CBSE/ICSE schools.
\n· Experience teaching Classes XI & XII is mandatory.
\n· Prior experience in a residential/boarding school will be preferred.
\nDesired Competencies
\n· Excellent command of spoken and written English.
\n· Strong classroom management and student mentoring skills.
\n· Proficiency in digital teaching tools and educational technology.
