Position Overview:
\nAs a Training and Placement Manager will play a pivotal role in connecting students with career opportunities by facilitating Student’s training, skill development, and eventual placement in reputable organizations. This role requires strong communication skills, excellent networking abilities, and a keen understanding of both student needs and industry requirements.
\nKey Responsibilities:
\n\nThe Placement Officer is required to visit 5 companies daily in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar to coordinate with industry partners, recruiters, and potential employers for the following purposes:
\n\n1) Final placements
\n2) Summer internships
\n3) Live projects
\n4) Guest lectures (IIF Club)
\n5) Workshops
\n6) Industrial visits
\n7) Mock interviews
\n8) Viva
\n9) Curriculum development
\n- Board of Studies member
\n10) Participation as a guest in major events
\n11) Serving as an industry mentor/guide
\n12) Acting as a jury member for events
\n\nPlacement Management:
\n- \n
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry partners, recruiters, and potential employers. \n
- Actively seek and secure internship and job opportunities for students through networking and outreach efforts. \n
- Organize career fairs, recruitment drives, and campus interviews to facilitate the placement process. \n
Training Coordination:
\n- \n
- Coordinate workshops, seminars, and training sessions aimed at enhancing students' employability skills. \n
- Monitor training progress and provide feedback to students for continuous improvement. \n
Career Counseling:
\n- \n
- Provide personalized guidance to students regarding career choices, job search strategies, and professional development. \n
- Conduct mock interviews, resume critiques, and other preparatory activities to help students succeed in the job market. \n
- Stay updated on industry trends and job market demands to offer relevant advice and insights. \n
Data Management and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of student placements, including tracking outcomes and employment statistics. \n
- Generate reports and analysis to assess the effectiveness of training programs and placement initiatives. \n
- Utilize data-driven insights to improve strategies and enhance overall student success rates. \n
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Collaborate with faculty members, career services teams, and other university stakeholders to align training and placement efforts with academic objectives. \n
- Act as a liaison between students, employers, and the university administration to ensure smooth communication and coordination. \n
- Participate in professional development activities and networking events to broaden industry connections and stay informed about best practices. \n
Minimum Job Requirements:
\n- \n
- Bachelor's degree; at least 5 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. \n
- Previous experience in career counseling, recruitment, or related fields within an educational setting is advantageous. \n
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
\n- \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, employers, and other stakeholders. \n
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. \n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems. \n
- Knowledge of industry trends, job market dynamics, and career development resources. \n
