Qualification: MBA (Finance/Marketing) / CA / Master’s in Commerce or higher

\n

Experience: 12–15 years in Business Development, preferably in Supply Chain Finance, Trade Finance, Working Capital

Key Responsibilities

\n

    \n
  • Business Development: Drive acquisition in Domestic Factoring, Export Factoring, Reverse Factoring, and TReDS ; deliver revenue growth.
  • \n
  • Client Relationship Management: Build long-term partnerships with corporates, SMEs, and channel partners.
  • \n
  • Market Intelligence: Track competitor offerings, customer needs, and market trends to refine strategies.
  • \n
  • Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Customize financial solutions, lead negotiations ensuring profitability and compliance.
  • \n
  • Collaboration: Work with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Legal for smooth client onboarding.
  • \n
  • Sales Planning & Execution: Prepare BD plans, set and achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targets.
  • \n
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to policies, RBI guidelines, and audit standards.
  • \n
  • Reporting & MIS: Maintain pipeline records, revenue forecasts, and present updates to senior management.
  • \n
  • Brand Representation: Represent SBI Factors at industry forums, client meetings, and networking events.
  • \n

Skills & Competencies requiered -

  1. Business Development Leadership – Proven track record in driving growth in trade finance/supply chain finance.

  3. Credit Product Knowledge – Understanding of working capital, factoring, and credit risk.
  4. \n
  5. Financial Acumen – Ability to analyze financial statements, CIBIL reports, and conduct KYC checks.
  6. \n
  7. Client Relationship Skills – Strong communication and ability to retain key accounts.
  8. \n
  9. Market Intelligence – Experience in competitor tracking and opportunity identification.
  10. \n
  11. Negotiation & Deal Structuring – Ability to close complex financial transactions profitably.
  12. \n
  13. Team Leadership – Prior experience leading BD teams.
  14. \n
  15. Compliance Orientation – Familiarity with RBI guidelines, audit standards, and risk frameworks.

  17. Sales Planning & Target Achievement – Evidence of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

  19. Brand Representation – Comfort in representing the organization at industry events.
