\nVesta Hotels & Resorts — Jaipur
\nVesta Hotels & Resorts is opening a new restaurant at one of its four-star hotels in the heart of Jaipur — a contemporary all-day café and lounge bar. We are seeking an accomplished Executive Chef to lead the kitchen and shape the culinary identity of this new venue.
\nThis is an opportunity for a talented and creative chef to take full ownership of a brand-new restaurant, developing its menus and standards from the ground up.
\nThe Role
\nReporting to the General Manager, the Executive Chef will lead the entire kitchen brigade and be responsible for the food across both the café and lounge-bar offerings. The role calls for a chef who can author menus with a genuine point of view, deliver consistent à la carte quality, and run the kitchen as a well-managed, profitable operation.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nConceptualize, develop and cost the restaurant's menus, and refresh them regularly
\nCreate signature dishes that give the venue a distinct identity
\nMaintain the highest standards of taste, presentation, hygiene and food safety
\nLead, train and develop the kitchen team
\nManage food cost, procurement, inventory and kitchen efficiency
\nOversee smooth coordination between the restaurant and the hotel's banquet, conference and breakfast operations
\nCulinary Expertise Required
\nStrong command of modern cuisine and continental fare
\nSound knowledge of traditional cuisine and tandoori cuisine
\nCreativity in contemporary and fusion cooking
\nA flair for presentation and à la carte dining
\nCandidate Requirements
\nMinimum 15 years of experience in reputed restaurants and/or hotels
\nMinimum 3 years in a Head Chef / Executive Chef capacity
\nBoth restaurant and hotel experience preferred
\nProven experience in menu development and kitchen leadership
\nStrong understanding of food costing and kitchen operations
\nA culinary qualification from a recognized institute
