\nWe’re hiring a multi-skilled practitioner to lead daily operations and shape long-term landscape strategy at a 40-acre factory site in Sangareddy, Hyderabad.
\nThe project is a unique combination of ecological landscape design and management, and developing a regenerative farming, food forest orchards.
\nRole overview
\nAs a Jungly LLP site manager you will head up a site-based management team for the 40-acre factory site in Sangareddy. You will lead small scale landscape restoration and management using native plant species, establish and run a native plant nursery to supply on-site revegetation.
\nThis hands-on leadership role combines planting and crop systems, soil and water stewardship, habitat restoration, nursery establishment/operation, and team supervision.
\nKey responsibilities
\n- Lead and manage a site-based team responsible for day-to-day delivery, scheduling, training and performance across the 40-acre site.
\n- Plan and deliver landscape restoration using native species tailored to local ecology and climate.
\n- Establish, set up and manage Native plant nursery: site layout, infrastructure, propagation space, irrigation, record-keeping and inventory.
\n- Manage daily nursery operations: seed collection, cleaning, storage, stratification/treatment, propagation (seed, cuttings, grafting as relevant), potting, hardening off and planting-out.
\n- Source, catalogue, and maintain local provenance seed and plant stock; build seed banks and propagation protocols for priority native species.
\n- Oversee hands-on installation and seasonal maintenance: planting, pruning, weed control, mulching, integrated pest management, composting and soil-building.
\n- Develop and manage regenerative soil and water strategies (soil testing, amendments, swales, rain gardens, low-till where appropriate).
\n- Build and manage agroecological production systems where applicable (polycultures, agroforestry, food forest ).
\n- Monitor biodiversity and ecological outcomes; maintain records and prepare concise reports for Jungly LLP and the site owner.
\n- Coordinate contractors, volunteers and stakeholder groups; represent Jungly LLP in client and regulatory meetings.
\n- Manage site budgets, nursery resources, equipment, and ensure health & safety and regulatory compliance.
\nRequired experience & qualifications
\n- Degree or diploma in horticulture, ecology, agroecology, landscape management or equivalent practical experience.
\n- 3+ years’ demonstrable experience in horticulture/landscape management with an ecological or agroecological focus, including nursery or propagation experience.
\n- Proven experience supervising teams and coordinating contractors/volunteers on site.
\n- Strong plant ID and practical propagation skills; experience with native species and local seed ecology preferred.
\n- Familiarity with soil science, integrated pest management, habitat restoration techniques, and green infrastructure.
\n- Telegu language + good English communications
\n- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel between sites as required.
\nDesired skills & attributes
\n- Systems thinker able to translate ecological theory into practical works.
\n- Strong communicator and stakeholder manager; comfortable leading a site team and representing Jungly LLP.
\n- Hands-on, pragmatic, physically fit and adaptable to outdoor conditions.
\n- Competent with digital tools for mapping, scheduling and record-keeping (e.g. Microsoft Office + spreadsheets).
\n- Passion for community engagement, education and equitable access to green space and food.
