We have openings for the position of "Engineer- Product design" with a reputed MNC for Bangalore Location

Job Location: Bangalore.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Designing of products like connectors, panels, enclosures, patch cords, wall plates, I/O cables, cable managers, wall plate modules etc
• Carryout engineering functions like Engineering change Management, Customer drawing creation, Migration of CAD data to PDM, Legacy conversion of 2D data to 3D, Engineering and product specification creation, controlling of engineering documents etc
• Prepare schedules for projects and follow up with supply chain, manufacturing, quality and product management teams to ensure that the time, cost and quality goals are achived
• Create DFMEA's for any design changes or new Designs.
• Attend Engineering calls and update the Status of the projects by self.
• Always keep the CFT informed abouthe status of the projects and keep the same updated in SPS.
• Help other engineers with designs, drawings, preparing engineering documents etc
• Participate in Lean activities wherever assigned.
• Work towards continuous improvement in all area
• Ensure Dept.compliance with all molex policies & procedures
• Support all company focal points as required
• Any other projects/work assigned by management
• Knowledge on Quality Management System (QMS)
• Experience in Risk Mitigation
• Project delegation, allocation,monitoring and execution
• Quality check on designs for errors, defects, etc...
• Problem solver.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members
• Hands-on expereience in Sharepoint and reporting tools (MS Excel)
• Must provide technical trainings to the teams whenever required
• Make presentations on project status: present monthlly and annual reports to the management

Experience Required

Previous experience of handling a team size of 3 to 5 Engineers.

Hands-on experience in people management min. of 2 to 4 Years

Adept in Conflict managements

Should have done at least one or two Appraisals for his reportees.

Team Player

Experience in Crisis Management

Empower team members to take responsibility for their jobs and goals

Qualification:

Diploma, BE, ( Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Tool & Die making)

Experience

Min 7 - 9 years of experience in the field of mechanical design & development.

Skill Sets & Competencies :

New Product design & development

Engineering Change Management

PDM, CAD & knowledge on Analysis softwares

DFMEA hands on.

Hands on with design for Manufacturing in injection molds, press tools & different manufacturing process

Good analytical skills

Good communication & presentation skills

Good Learning skills

Good understanding of reading Drawings.

Project Management

Hands on Plastics and Sheetmetals.

Better than average written and spoken communicaiton skills

Special Skills

CAD Softwares UG (3D Modeling, drafting & Sheetmetal) & OSDM (preferable)

Tolearance Analysis experience.
