Our story

Lokal(Behtar Technology Private Limited), headquartered in Bengaluru was founded by IIT Alumni, Jani Pasha and Vipul Chaudhary in the year 2018 to build Web 2.0 for tier 2 & tier 3 cities in India. We recently raised our Series A from a global Marquee VC. Lokal also has YCombinator, 3one4 capital, India Quotient, RB Investment as investors

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of SDET engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring and hands-on development that helps to deliver high quality products.
• Develop test strategies and create appropriate test harnesses for pragmatic testing.
• End to end ownership of quality in close collaboration with cross functional technology partners (backend & frontend developers), product and business teams.
• Propose trade offs and provide risk assessment to stakeholders.
• Be a champion of quality and operation excellence.

Requirements:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience.
• 5+ years of industry experience working in a test driven development environment, working closely with development teams.
• 3+ years of experience with QA tools & methodologies, software testing standards, developing test plans and reports for both backend and mobile applications.
• 2+ years of experience leading/mentoring teams.
• 2+ years of experience in working with business teams to understand requirements and propose steps to measure and improve software quality.
• Experience with high level programming languages is a must.
• AWS/GCP cloud experience is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills; tracking multiple test executions with multiple dependencies simultaneously.
