Full Stack Engineer

KKR's creation of a Gurugram office builds upon the firm's momentum in India and bolsters its existing presence in Mumbai.

TEAM OVERVIEW

KKR's Technology team is responsible for building and supporting the firm's technological foundation including a globally distributed infrastructure, information security, and application and data platforms. The team drives a culture of technology excellence across the firm through efficient workflow automation, democratization of data through modern data and collaboration platforms, and more recently through research and development of Generative AI based tools and services.

Technology is regarded as a key business enabler at KKR and is an important accelerator to drive towards global scale creation and business process transformation. A dedicated Program Management function along with the Product Managers drive execution discipline across multiple technology teams with a goal to consistently deliver excellence serving our business needs. The Technology team consists of highly technical and business centric technologists with the ability to form strong partnerships across all of our businesses.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, high-quality applications across the front-end and back-end. You will work closely with product managers, designers, business resources and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions that are reliable, secure, and user centric. This role will support Insurance platforms.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end web applications (frontend + backend)
Build responsive, performant user interfaces using modern frontend frameworks
Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and data models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance
Contribute to improving engineering processes, tools, and standards
Monitor integration jobs, resolve errors, and perform root-cause analysis with senior analysts or architects.
Participate in code reviews, data mapping exercises, and testing cycles for new integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

8 -11 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Strong proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks (React / Angular / Vue)
Experience with backend development using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or similar
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL
Solid understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experienced in DevOps concepts and practices
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
CI/CD practices
Unit Test best practices
Containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
Knowledge of microservices architecture and distributed systems
Understanding of security, authentication, and authorization best practices
Prior experience working in agile or scrum teams
Experience in Insurance, Financial Services, or Asset Management
Familiarity with policy administration systems, annuity products, institutional contracts, or insurance accounting concepts
