Senior Agile Master / Project Manager / Technical Lead (10 Years Experience)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with 10 years of industry experience who can seamlessly operate as an Agile Master, Project Manager, and Technical Lead. The ideal candidate will drive agile delivery, provide strong technical direction, manage complex programs, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure successful execution of business and technology objectives.

This role requires a blend of agile leadership, delivery management, hands-on technical understanding, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Agile Leadership & Scrum Mastery

• Act as Agile Master/Scrum Master for multiple cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
• Coach teams on Agile/Scrum/Kanban best practices and continuous improvement.
• Remove impediments and dependencies to maintain team velocity and delivery predictability.
• Promote a culture of self-organization, accountability, and engineering excellence.
• Scale agile practices using frameworks such as SAFe, LeSS, or Scrum@Scale where applicable.

2. Project & Program Management

• Own end-to-end project delivery: scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
• Define project plans, milestones, RAID logs, and delivery metrics.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects/programs with cross-team dependencies.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives and engineering execution.
• Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests.
• Report project health, progress, and KPIs to leadership and stakeholders.
• Drive governance, compliance, and audit readiness as required.

3. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical direction and architectural guidance to engineering teams.
• Review system designs, code, and implementation approaches for quality and scalability.
• Make informed decisions on technology stack, tools, and frameworks.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, security, performance, and reliability standards.
• Collaborate with architects, DevOps, QA, and product teams on solution design.
• Guide teams through complex technical challenges and production issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability.

4. Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as a single point of contact for business, product, and technology stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear technical and delivery plans.
• Manage expectations and communicate risks, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
• Facilitate alignment across product management, engineering, QA, operations, and vendors.
• Support senior leadership with data-driven insights and recommendations.

5. People & Delivery Leadership

• Mentor and coach team members, junior scrum masters, and technical leads.
• Support performance management, skill development, and career growth.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive, and outcome-oriented team culture.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and team capacity planning.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant experience in software delivery and engineering leadership.
• Proven experience as an Agile Master / Scrum Master for mature agile teams.
• Strong project/program management experience in complex environments.
• Hands-on experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
• Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
• Experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade systems.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.

Technical Skills (Expected Level: Working Knowledge or Better)

• Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP
• Project management tools: Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, MS Project
• Architecture & design: Microservices, APIs, Cloud-native systems
• Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
• DevOps & CI/CD pipelines
• Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Security, performance, and scalability principles

Preferred Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) / Advanced CSM / PSM II or III
• SAFe Agilist / SAFe Scrum Master
• PMP / PRINCE2
• Agile Coaching or Leadership certifications
