About The Job:
- The Hardware Asset Manager is responsible for governing the full lifecycle of server hardware assets across the enterprise.
- This role ensures asset accuracy, optimizes support costs, mitigates infrastructure risk, and enables reliable, compliant operations through strong lifecycle, vendor, and financial management practices
Server Lifecycle Management
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of server hardware: purchase planning → deployment → maintenance → refresh → decommission
- Track End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Support (EOS) milestones and drive proactive refresh planning
- Maintain accurate and complete asset records in CMDB/asset management systems (e.g., ServiceNow)
- Coordinate deinstallation, data sanitization, and disposal in accordance with security and compliance policies
- Ensure lifecycle governance standards are consistently applied across all hardware assets
- Manage OEM and third-party maintenance (TPM) support contracts
- Track warranty status, SLAs, and maintenance coverage for all server assets
- Lead contract renewals, co-terming strategies, and support model decisions (OEM vs. TPM)
- Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities (e.g., tier alignment, eliminating redundant coverage)
- Mitigate risks associated with aging or unsupported hardware
- Ensure all critical production servers have appropriate support coverage aligned to business SLAs
- Identify and reduce risk exposure related to unsupported or end-of-life assets
- Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to improve incident response via contract-aware escalation paths
- Support audit and compliance activities through accurate lifecycle and support data
- Forecast server refresh cycles, maintenance renewals, and lifecycle investment needs
- Provide transparency into Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for server infrastructure
- Support annual budgeting, vendor planning, and CapEx vs. OpEx strategies
- Partner with procurement and finance to optimize cost efficiency and asset utilization
- Maintain and enhance hardware asset management processes, standards, and governance
- Drive automation, reconciliation, and integration using ServiceNow CMDB and asset management capabilities
- Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and audit readiness across asset repositories
- Continuously improve tooling and workflows to increase efficiency and visibility
- Facilitate server decommission process
- Accurate audit-ready inventory and lifecycle status of all server assets
- Minimal to zero unsupported hardware in production environments
- Optimized support contract spend and coverage alignment
- Reduced operational risk from aging infrastructure
- Predictable, well-managed hardware refresh cycles
- Experience :- 8 Year relevant in ServiceNow Asset Management (Specificaly HAM)
- HAM PRO
- Life Cycle management (End-end) - procurement to decommissioning
- vendor management & contractt management
- Familiarity with ServiceNow HAM, CMDB, and asset governance practices
- Strong understanding of enterprise server environments and infrastructure operations
- Experience with hardware lifecycle management and vendor support models
- Proven ability in vendor management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization
- Knowledge of data center operations and infrastructure dependencies
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
