\nABOUT US:
\nInfosys BPM is establishing a dedicated actuarial consulting practice to serve insurance clients globally. This is a foundational role in a practice that is actively being built, offering direct client exposure, intellectual variety, and the rare opportunity to help shape a growing team from the ground up.
\nRole Overview:
\nWe are seeking a mid to senior P&C pricing actuary who is partly qualified and keen to grow in a consulting environment. The role spans pricing engagements across personal and commercial lines, business development support, and broader P&C actuarial work as the practice expands. Because this is a new practice build, you will be expected to contribute wherever the work takes you, bringing both technical rigour and client-facing confidence to every engagement
\nKey Responsibilities:
\nLead and deliver P&C pricing projects for insurance and reinsurance clients, covering both personal and
\ncommercial lines as engagements arise.
\n→
\nBuild, review, and challenge rating models, technical price benchmarks, and risk segmentation frameworks.
\n→
\nAct as a trusted actuarial point of contact for clients, managing day-to-day queries, deliverables, and
\nexpectations with professionalism.
\n→
\nSupport business development activity, including contributing to proposals, presentations, and scoping
\nconversations with prospective clients.
\n→
\nAdapt to the needs of a growing practice, taking on reserving, capital, analytics, or other P&C actuarial work as
\nrequired.
\n→
\nTranslate complex actuarial outputs into clear insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
\n→
\nIdentify opportunities to improve pricing methods, workflows, and model governance across client
\nengagements.
\n→
\nPrepare high-quality reports, client presentations, and technical documentation to a consulting standard.
\n→
\nCollaborate with internal data, technology, and consulting teams to deliver integrated client solutions.
\n→
\nTravel to client sites as required, across India and occasionally internationally
\nQualifications & Experience:
\nPartly qualified actuary, actively progressing toward fellowship with IFoA, IAI, SoA, or an equivalent recognised
\nbody.
\n'13; Minimum 4 years of experience in a P&C actuarial role within insurance, reinsurance, or actuarial consulting.
\n'13; Substantive experience in P&C pricing; background in personal lines, commercial lines, or both is equally
\nvalued.
\n'13; Pricing experience supporting clients in UK, European, or US insurance markets is preferred; exposure to Lloyd's
\nor international reinsurance treaty business is a plus.
\n'13; Comfortable operating in client-facing settings: presenting findings, handling questions, and managing
\nstakeholder relationships.
\n'13; Experience or genuine interest in business development, proposal writing, or commercial conversations.
\n'13; Proficient in Excel and at least one actuarial or analytical programming language; strong data handling skills.
\n'13; Self-directed and resilient, with the flexibility to take on varied workstreams in a practice that is still being
\nestablished.
\n'13; Willingness to travel for client engagements when required
\nPreferred Skills :
\nPrior actuarial consulting or advisory experience is a strong advantage.
\n%C6; Exposure to reserving, capital modelling, or IFRS 17 in addition to pricing.
\n%C6; Experience supporting or leading proposal and business development responses.
\n%C6; Familiarity with model governance, documentation standards, and peer review processes.
