Description: Role Descriptions: Power Platform Engineer (Solution Architect) – Corporate Banking Transformation

Role Overview
The Power Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying low-code solutions using Microsoft Power Platform to drive process transformation, automation, and operational efficiency within corporate banking operations (e.g., payments, trade finance, lending, KYC/AML, reconciliations).
The role will leverage AI-powered capabilities (Copilot for Power Platform) to accelerate solution delivery, improve user productivity, and enable intelligent automation.

Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Skills
•Strong experience in:
oPower Apps (Canvas & Model-driven apps)
oPower Automate (RPA + Cloud flows)
oDataverse
•Experience in API integrations, REST services
•Familiarity with Azure (Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus)
•Working knowledge of Power BI

Key Responsibilities
1. Process Transformation & Automation
•Participate in workshops to identify automation opportunities in corporate banking processes (Ex: loan origination , drawdown, servicing, repayment). Drive automation for the opportunities identified.
•Work with business teams to simplify and standardize processes before automation
•Design and implement solutions using:
oPower Apps (Canvas & Model-driven)
oPower Automate (Cloud & Desktop flows)
oPower Virtual Agents / Copilot Studio
•Optimize workflows for:
oStraight-through processing (STP)
oReduced manual interventions
oImproved turnaround times and SLA adherence
•Develop prototype solutions rapidly (4–6 week cycles) and iterate based on business feedback
•Collaborate closely with operations users to co-create solutions in a business-led delivery model

2. Solution Design & Development
•Develop scalable enterprise-grade applications aligned with banking architecture
•Design solutions for document-heavy operations, including:
- Automated data extraction from loan agreements and trade documents
- Document comparison and version validation
- Handling unstructured and semi-structured inputs (PDF, scanned docs, emails)
•Integrate Power Platform solutions with multiple banking systems:
oCore banking systems
oPayment systems (SWIFT, RTGS, ISO 20022)
oCRM (Dynamics 365)
oData platforms (Azure, SQL, Dataverse)
•Design reusable components, connectors, and APIs
•Implement maker-checker workflows with AI-assisted validation, ensuring auditability and compliance
•Eliminate manual system dependencies by enabling cross-system orchestration using APIs and workflows
•Design and implement end-to-end workflow automation replacing human-led integration (copy-paste, multi-system login)
•Build exception handling and reconciliation mechanisms for operational accuracy and control

3. AI & Copilot Enablement
•Leverage Copilot in Power Apps and Power Automate for rapid app and flow development
•Build AI-assisted workflows, including:
oDocument processing (invoices, trade documents)
oIntelligent approvals
oNatural language-driven automation
•Implement Copilot Studio (Power Virtual Agents) for conversational banking use cases:
oOperations query handling
oCustomer service automation
•Ensure governance and responsible AI practices in all Copilot-enabled solutions

•Design data models using Dataverse
•Develop dashboards using Power BI for:
oOperational KPIs
oException tracking
oProcess performance metrics
•Ensure data quality, consistency, and secure access

5. Governance, Security & Compliance
•Implement Power Platform CoE best practices
•Ensure solutions comply with:
oBanking regulations (KYC, AML, audit requirements)
oData privacy standards
•Manage environments, DLP policies, and access controls
•Support audit, risk, and compliance reporting

6. Stakeholder Engagement
•Work closely with:
oBusiness operations teams (Payments, Trade Finance, Lending)
oRisk & Compliance teams
Client and Architecture teams
•Conduct workshops, process discovery sessions, and user training
•Translate business requirements into technical solutions
