Network Administrator

About The Job:

• This role is responsible for designing, deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise network security and data center networking solutions with a strong focus on Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and Data Center Network Infrastructure.

Essential Job Functions:

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Firewalls (PA Series) across enterprise and data center environments.
• Manage firewall configurations including:
  • Security Policies
  • NAT Rules
  • App-ID
  • URL Filtering
  • Threat Prevention
  • SSL Decryption
• Administer Panorama for centralized policy management, templates, and device groups.
• Conduct firewall rule reviews, optimization, and cleanup activities aligned with least-privilege security principles.
• Troubleshoot complex traffic flow, policy enforcement, performance, and security issues using logs, packet captures, and monitoring tools.
• Implement and support VPN solutions including:
  • IPSec VPN
  • GlobalProtect Remote Access VPN
  • Site-to-Site VPN
• Perform firewall upgrades, patching, hotfix deployments, and maintenance activities while coordinating with business stakeholders and CAB.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure risk mitigation and adherence to organizational security standards.
• Configure, administer, and support F5 BIG-IP environments (LTM / GTM).
• Manage:
  • Virtual Servers
  • Pools
  • iRules
  • Profiles
  • Health Monitors
• Troubleshoot application availability, traffic distribution, load balancing, and failover issues.
• Support SSL offloading, session persistence, and high-availability configurations.
• Perform F5 upgrades, patching, maintenance, and performance optimization activities.
• Design, implement, and support Data Center Network Infrastructure across:
  • Core Layer
  • Aggregation Layer
  • Access Layer
• Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies including:
  • VLANs
  • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
  • LACP
  • OSPF
  • BGP
  • VRRP / HSRP
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues including latency, packet loss, routing loops, and network convergence problems.

Qualifications:
Essential Skills

• Palo Alto Firewall Administration (PA Series).
• Palo Alto Panorama Management.
• Firewall Security Policy Management.
• NAT, App-ID, URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, and SSL Decryption.
• IPSec VPN and GlobalProtect Implementation & Support.
• F5 BIG-IP (LTM / GTM) Administration.
• Load Balancing, Virtual Servers, Pools, iRules, and Health Monitors.
• Data Center Network Design and Support.
• Layer 2 / Layer 3 Networking.
• VLANs, STP, LACP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP.
• Network and Security Troubleshooting.
• Technical Documentation and SOP Development.

Desirable Skills

• Aruba Network Security.
• Network Routing (WAN Technologies).

Experience Required

• 4-6 years of relevant experience in Network Security, Firewall Administration, Data Center Networking, and Load Balancing technologies.
