Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Consultant – P3 Grade
Role Summary
The Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Consultant P3 is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting integrations between Oracle Fusion Cloud applications (ERP, HCM, SCM) and external systems. The role requires hands-on experience with OIC integrations, adapters, REST/SOAP services, and production support, along with strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Design & Development
  • Design and develop integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen2).
  • Build and manage:
    • App-Driven Integrations
    • Scheduled Integrations
    • Orchestrations
    • Lookups and Packages
  • Perform data mappings, transformations, and validations using OIC Mapper.
  • Implement reusable, scalable integration patterns following Oracle best practices.
Adapters & Connectivity
Develop integrations using OIC adapters such as:
  • ERP Cloud Adapter
  • HCM Cloud Adapter
  • REST Adapter
  • SOAP Adapter
  • FTP/SFTP Adapter
  • DB Adapter
  • Handle file-based integrations (inbound/outbound) and API-based real-time integrations.
API & Web Services
  • Design, consume, and expose REST and SOAP web services.
  • Work with JSON, XML, XSD, and WSDL payloads.
  • Implement secure authentication mechanisms including OAuth2, Basic Authentication, and Certificates.
Error Handling, Monitoring & Support
Implement:
  • Fault Policies
  • Reusable Error Frameworks
  • Notifications and Tracking
Monitor integrations and resolve:
  • Data Errors
  • Connectivity Issues
  • Performance Issues
  • Provide L2/L3 production support and root-cause analysis.
  • Support Hypercare and post go-live stabilization.
Testing & Deployment
  • Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles.
  • Fix defects and support retesting activities.
  • Support migration across environments:
    • DEV
    • TEST
    • UAT
    • PROD
  • Prepare deployment notes and rollback plans.
Documentation & Collaboration
Prepare and maintain:
  • Integration Design Documents (HLD/LLD)
  • Interface Control Documents (ICD)
  • Mapping Specifications
  • Runbooks and Support Documentation
  • Collaborate with Functional Consultants, VBCS teams, and client stakeholders.

Mandatory Skills (Must Have)
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
  • Strong expertise in:
    • REST Services
    • SOAP Services
    • JSON
    • XML
    • XSD
    • Data Mappings and Transformations
  • Experience integrating with Oracle Fusion Cloud modules:
    • ERP
    • HCM
    • SCM
  • Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.
  • Understanding of Integration Lifecycle and SDLC.

Good to Have Skills
  • Oracle SOA Suite
  • BPEL
  • OSB
  • MFT
  • Knowledge of OIC Gen2 advanced features.
  • Exposure to Oracle ATP and ADW.
  • Experience with OCI Services.
  • OAuth2, Certificates, and Cloud Security concepts.
  • Knowledge of BI Publisher Extracts and FBDI Integrations.
