Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Design and develop serverless applications using AWS Lambda with Java.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• Develop REST APIs and integrate them with Lambda, API Gateway, and other AWS services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable Java code following best practices.
• Optimize Lambda functions for performance, cold start reduction, and memory usage.
• Implement event-driven solutions using services like S3, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis for failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards.
• Participate in estimation, planning, and technical design discussions.
AWS Lambda and Typescript specific responsibilities
• Design Lambda-based microservices and serverless workflows.
• TypeScript: Advanced proficiency including generics, utility types, strict mode, declaration files, and module systems
• Node.js: Strong understanding of the Node.js runtime, event loop, async/await patterns, and package management
• Configure triggers, retries, dead-letter queues, and error handling strategies.
• Manage IAM roles, permissions, and least privilege access for Lambda execution.
• Work with CloudWatch logs, metrics, alarms, and tracing for monitoring and observability.
• Backend Fundamentals: Solid understanding of RESTful API design, authentication/authorization (JWT, OAuth2, Cognito), database design, and distributed systems
• IaC Tools: Experience with at least one of AWS CDK (preferred), AWS SAM, or Serverless Framework
• Deploy Lambda functions using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools.
