Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master / Agile Coach to drive delivery excellence across distributed, cross-functional teams spanning Mumbai, Bangalore, Canada, and the US.

This role partners closely with Engineering Team Leads, Product, and Business stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery, strong execution discipline, and continuous improvement across multiple domains. You will own Agile execution and team flow, while enabling leaders to focus on technical strategy and people development.

This is a senior role with increasing scope in Agile coaching and operating model maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Delivery & Execution Leadership

  • Own Agile delivery across multiple teams and domains, aligned to Engineering and Product priorities

  • Plan and facilitate Scrum ceremonies with clear outcomes, decisions, and accountability

  • Ensure sprint goals, capacity planning, and commitments are realistic and transparent

  • Track delivery health using sprint metrics, flow metrics, and qualitative signals

  • Proactively surface risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints across teams and geographies

Cross-Geo Team Enablement

  • Enable effective collaboration across India (Mumbai & Bangalore) and North America (Canada & US)

  • Manage time-zone challenges through thoughtful ceremony design and async practices

  • Drive alignment across distributed teams without increasing process overhead

  • Create clarity in ownership, handoffs, and communication across locations

Partnership with Engineering & Product Leadership

  • Partner closely with Engineering Team Leads to support execution without stepping into technical ownership

  • Work with Product Managers to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization clarity, and scope discipline

  • Facilitate trade-off conversations on scope, timelines, and dependencies

  • Provide leadership with clear, honest delivery insights and forward-looking risk views


Continuous Improvement & Agile Coaching

  • Facilitate retrospectives that result in concrete, trackable improvements

  • Identify recurring delivery and collaboration issues across teams and domains

  • Coach teams on Agile mindset, accountability, and outcome-focused execution

  • Support adoption of Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models based on team context and maturity

Ways of Working & Delivery Standards

  • Establish consistent delivery rhythms while allowing team-level flexibility

  • Improve estimation practices, forecasting accuracy, and delivery predictability

  • Support onboarding of new team members into Agile ways of working

  • Contribute to evolving Agile playbooks, templates, and delivery dashboards

What Success Looks Like

  • Distributed teams deliver predictably with fewer last-minute escalations

  • Engineering and Product leaders have clear visibility into delivery health

  • Cross-geo collaboration feels structured, not chaotic

  • Teams demonstrate ownership, focus, and continuous improvement

  • Agile practices actively support speed, quality, and scale



Required Skills & Experience

Essential

  • 8–10 years of experience in technology or delivery environments

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master in complex setups

  • Proven experience working with cross-geography, distributed teams

  • Strong command of Scrum principles, Agile delivery metrics, and flow management

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM II, or equivalent)

  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Atlassian Goals, or similar tools


Preferred

  • Experience supporting Data Engineering, Platform, or AI/ML teams

  • Exposure to Kanban, SAFe, or hybrid delivery models
