Senior Software Engineer, Service Now Developer
About the role
We are seeking aServiceNow ITOM Platform Engineerwithhands-oncloud experienceto build,operate, and continuously improve our ITOM capabilities in ServiceNow. This roleis responsible forDiscovery, CMDB data quality, and Service Mappingacrosshybrid on-prem and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
What you'll do
Design, implement, and operate ServiceNow IT operations management capabilities with a focus on discovery, configuration data quality, and service mapping across onpremises and cloud environments.
Build and maintain reliable discovery architecture by managing midserver design, credential handling, network zoning, performance tuning, and monitoring.
Improve trust in configuration data by applying identification and reconciliation best practices, enforcing data quality standards, and aligning configuration and service models to common service data structures.
Create, validate, and optimise service maps that accurately represent application and infrastructure dependencies and support operational decisionmaking.
Integrate cloud platforms into ServiceNow by ensuring cloud resources are modelled, normalised, and governed according to ownership, environment, and cost standards.
Develop automation and integrations that reduce manual effort and improve platform reliability using workflows, scripting, and application programming interfaces.
What you'll bring
5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow engineering experience with a strong focus on ITOM.
Proven experience with Discovery, CMDB, and MID Server deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on cloud engineering experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP), including Understanding of cloud resource models (accounts/subscriptions, regions, VMs, load balancers, managed services, ephemerals, auto-scaling)Azure policy configuration & reporting
Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, cloud, network connectivity, credentials, and data quality issues.
Experience with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript), including Business Rules, Script Includes, and Scheduled Jobs.
Service Mapping experience, including pattern-based methodologies and dependency validation.
IRE knowledge (identification rules, reconciliation behavior, duplicate prevention/troubleshooting).
Integration experience withIntegration Hub(OOB/custom spokes), scripted REST, and OAuth flows.
Ability to work acrossplatform,cloud, and infrastructure teams to model services accurately and improve operational visibility.
